Dr. Ken Greene – Veterinarian
Education
Dr. Ken Greene graduated from Deerfield-Windsor School and then proceeded to study Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He has been at Philema Animal Hospital for over 20 years.
Hobbies
Dr. Greene enjoys working out, cycling, hanging out with friends and family, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and spending time in Montana. Germany is one of his favorite places to visit and hunt. He has 3 children Maggie, Nathan, and Libby. He loves to spend as much time as he can with them when they are home from college.
During the fall you can find him and his 3 dogs on a dove field or riding around the farm checking deer stands. Dr. Greene has 3 black labs. Abby is highly trained to retrieve doves and ducks. Jake and Hank are my rescues that were adopted from the clinic.
Specialties
Dr. Greene is an experienced animal surgeon and can perform a wide variety of procedures. He thoroughly enjoys orthopedic surgery cases including cranial cruciate repair, luxated hips using toggle procedure, and fractures to name a few. Dr. Greene is a wildlife rehabilitator and particularly enjoys rehabbing owls and other birds of prey.
Dr. Wyatt Ford- Veterinarian
Dr. Wyatt Ford is originally from rural Northeast Ohio. He comes from a broad agricultural background, which played a large role in his choice to become a veterinarian. He attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his doctorate of veterinary medicine, awarded high honors in food animal medicine and surgery. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Ford obtained a bachelor’s in agriculture from OSU, majoring in Animal Sciences with bioscience specialization.
Dr. Ford joined Philema Animal Hospital in 2021. His main veterinary interest includes equine and cattle medicine with special interests in reproduction, lameness, and herd health. During his free time, Dr. Ford enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and doing anything outdoors.
Dr. Laura Ford- Veterinarian
Dr. Laura grew up on her family’s dairy farm and cow-calf beef operation in Northeastern Ohio. She received her Associates and Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University ATI and CFAES, respectively. She then earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion lies within food animal medicine, specializing in dairy and beef.
Dr. Laura joined Philema Animal Hospital in 2021. In her free time, Dr. Laura enjoys hiking, being outdoors, or sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
Dr. Jennifer Daniel- Veterinarian
Dr. Daniel is a 1998 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science and Agriculture. She graduated in 2002 from Auburn University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Daniel began relief work for our team in July 2020. She joins our team on Mondays and Fridays. When she is not at work, Dr. Daniel is a full-time mom. She has a son, who is 10, and a daughter, who is 6. Dr. Daniel enjoys cooking, baking, and inventing new recipes. Originally from Kentucky, she moved to Georgia after Veterinarian School to join her husband Ben, a native of Leesburg.
Jessica Sealy – Office Manager
Ms. Sealy joined our team in March 2021. She grew up in Moultrie, Ga where she was raised showing cattle and sheep. A graduate of Southern Regional Tech, as an EMT, Jessica is compassionate and committed to providing the best care for each patient. As a mother to 2, she loves spending time with her children. She hopes one day she can have her own farm and raise, rescue, and care for all animals.
Melissa Jarrett – Office Manager
Melissa has worked here since March of 2014 and has been working in the veterinary field since 2001. She brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the Hospital. During her spare time, she likes baking and crafting. You can always find Melissa lending a hand to others and enjoying time with friends and family.
Kimberly Barnhill -Client Service Specialist
Kimberly joined our team in May of 2019. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She loves outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Brittany McDonald- Client Service Specialist
Brittany joined our team in January of 2021. She lives in Sylvester, GA, and was a Lee County High School graduate. She is married to a tattoo artist and he also breeds American Bullies. Together, they have 4 amazing kids; 10, 10, 5, and 3. The family has 2 cats, 2 ducks, 11 dogs, and 4 turtles.
Mia Austin- Client Service Specialist
Stacie Duke – Pharmacy Technician
Stacie joined our team in June of 2019 and is a Client Service Specialist. She loves all animals and enjoys fishing.
Jamie Ivey -Lead Veterinary Assistant
Jamie has over 20 years of experience as an Animal Control Officer and has worked in clinics around the country. Jamie has extensive knowledge with gently handling animals and helping doctors with treatments. On her days off, she enjoys relaxing with a good book. You can also find her baking cakes and making delicious meals. We are certainly happy to have this talent around the clinic!
Lakyn Saunders-Lead Veterinary Assistant
Sara Harper- Veterinary Assistant
Sara joined our team in May of 2020. She is a graduate of Baconton Community Charter School. She enjoys hunting, of all kinds, and being surrounded by friends and family. She attends ABAC for Veterinary Medicine.
Jessica Simpson- Veterinary Assistant
Jessica joined our team in February of 2021. She is a graduate of Lee County High School and has been happily married for 3 years. They have 2 dogs, Sophie and Dot, and 2 cats, Harry and Maggie. Jessica is currently in school to be an Art teacher. She loves doing arts and crafts. Jessica’s hobby is painting cows and seasonal door hangers. Jessica also enjoys working and taking care of animals.
Gabby Perkins- Veterinary Assistant
Anna Flannery-Veterinary Assistant
Anna joined our team in February of 2021. She is a graduate of Lee County High School. Anna has 2 cats and 1 dog, Marley, Luna, and Bella. She enjoys traveling and spending time with those she loves.
Rhonda Cox- Lead Kennel Technician
Mrs. Rhonda joined our team in February of 2020. She loves traveling to the mountains and spending time with her family. She enjoys horseback riding and taking care of her 2 horses.
Abbie Knight- Lead Kennel Technician
Abbie joined our team in June of 2020. She is a graduate of Lee County High School. Her love for dogs has landed her in school to become a dog trainer.
Diana Raulerson – Kennel Technician
Diana is one of our new Kennel Techs she has been with us since May 2019. She loves animals and spending time with her ferrets. She enjoys playing video games, hiking, and photography.
Banks Griffin- Kennel Technician
Banks joined our team in January of 2021. She attends Lee County High School. Banks enjoys hanging out with her friends. She plans on becoming a travel nurse when she graduates. Banks also stays busy caring for her 5 dogs.
Emma Knight- Kennel Technician
Emma joined our team in March 2021. She is a 10th-grade student at Lee County High School. Emma loves her job, the animals, and the friends she has made at Philema Animal Hospital. She is involved in FFA at LCHS where she shows cows. Emma loves to spend her afternoons with livestock, going hunting, or fishing. Her favorite is flats fishing. Emma has a bloodhound named Dixie, 3 chickens, 2 parakeets, and raising 2 squirrels. Emma is blessed with an amazing family and friends, who are her biggest support system. She hopes to become a Veterinarian or nurse when she graduates. A lover of all types of animals, Emma expresses that Philema is her home.
Abbigail Hughes- Kennel Technician
Abbigail joined our team in May of 2021. She is an 11th grader at Lee County High School. Abbigail wants to become an RN when she graduates.
