Dr. Ken Greene – Veterinarian
Dr. Ken Greene graduated from Deerfield-Windsor School and then proceeded to study Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He has been at Philema Animal Clinic for over 20 years.
I enjoy working out, cycling, hanging out with friends and family, hunting, fishing, the outdoors and spending time in Montana. Germany is one of my favorite places to visit and hunt. Maggie, Nathan and Libby are my 3 children and love to spend as much time with them when they are home for visits from college.
During the fall you can find me and my 3 dogs on a dove field or riding around the farm checking deer stands. Abby is my black lab who is highly trained to retrieve doves and duck. Both Jake and Hank are black labs that were adopted from the clinic.
Dr. Greene is an experienced surgeon and can perform a wide variety of procedures. He thoroughly enjoys orthopedic surgery cases including cranial cruciate repair, luxated hips using toggle procedure and fractures to name a few. Dr. Greene has been a wildlife rehabilitator for his whole career and particularly enjoys rehabbing owls and other birds of prey.

I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and handful of beef cattle. My basset hound, Sir Walter Dudley, was rescued freshmen year of vet school and is over 10 years old! Both my other two pets were adopted from the clinic. Meyer is a 7 year old yellow lab and Milky is a 4 year old kitty cat.
I enjoy cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs football and basketball team, Braves baseball and the Atlanta Falcons. You can often find me checking out the latest movies in theaters or getting some quiet time in a deer stand. My favorite of all is to spend time with my family: wife, Allison, and twin 3 year old daughters, Eliza and Lilly.
My specialty in the practice is large animal medicine and surgery. I enjoy working beef cattle farms and equine medicine. Every winter I offer, alongside Equine Rescue League, a discounted equine castration day. Last year we castrated nearly 20 stallions and were among the top in the state.
